My approach to therapy:

I help adults and teenagers, couples and families. If you struggle with anxiety, panic, depression, relationship difficulties, and any other mental health issues, we can address them together, hand in hand.

I aim to work as efficiently as possible and apply methods designed to accelerate progress. I have undertaken substantial training in a therapeutic model called  ISTDP.  ISTDP stands for Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy. It is an empirical method, which means the primary focus is on everything that you are experiencing in body and mind, as it occurs in the moment. I am active in making observations and encouraging self- observation. ISTDP has been formulated to accelerate the process of therapy.

It was Maya Angelou, who said that “you may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them” and that is the spirit in which I work.

If psychotherapy is a journey, where do we go? To nowhere. The whole point is that we just stop rushing forward. We stop running. One can spend a lifetime running from oneself, pursuing a dark object of desire called healing, enlightenment, or renewal. And yet we don’t have to look for anything, chase after anything, because our own feelings, the anxiety that oppresses us, the lies we want to believe, and even the truths we try to escape from – we carry all this inside us.
